Logistics market of Vietnam occupies about 25% of GDP, of which transportation accounts for 50-60%, much lower than needs for economic demands.
Recently, in many countries, economic development is not separable with global supply chain and Vietnam is not exception. This is the viewpoint of many expert at the summit “Logistics and supply chain: How to boost up the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in globalization?” in Ho Chi Minh City on May 18th, 2016. Since 2014, Vietnam has opened logistics market to many foreign investors, who will take part in this market and motivate local logistics market for development, but this also challenges Vietnam market. However, Mr. Bui Quoc Nghia – Chief of Vietnam Logistics Academy – argued that for many years, Vietnam has invested a lot for infrastructure, but it did not bring any achievement. He admitted that Vietnam did not develop a professional logistics system. Moreover, the perception of logistics is not clear in society, while our enterprises are unable to join in supply chain. Spoken by Mr. Nestor Scherbey – Senior Advisor of VFTA, he supposed that logistics and supply chain have been changing considerably in line with free trade market. For us, ITATRANS CORP is just a supplier of bonded warehousing service, but we can realize that it is the high time to adapt to the current situation if we want to “survive” in the segment of supply chain. Our bonded warehousing service must be improved to satisfy exporters and importers. How about your ideas about this article? If you think it is helpful, please share to many people.
